Our Story

Simply Plumbing was born in 2023, started by Christchurch locals and husband-and-wife duo, Aaron and Emma. After Aaron floated the idea of going out on his own for the thousandth time, Emma finally said, “Just do it already.” So, they did. 

Three months later, Emma left her job in horticulture to join the business as an apprentice plumber. The next six months were a crash course in marriage, plumbing, and working together 24/7. Days on the tools turned into nights spent invoicing and juggling jobs. It didn’t take long to realise Emma had a knack for scheduling, systems, and customer service – so she swapped the spanner for the spreadsheets and took over the day-to-day operations. 

Fast forward a year, Simply Plumbing is now a team of five with a growing base of loyal, amazing clients. We’re aiming to grow the team this year and are excited about what’s ahead. 

Outside of work, Emma volunteers with IHC, keeps bees, and has a solid pilates habit. Aaron enjoys a good run, a game of poker and working on the golf slice. Together, we both love heading out on the odd weekend to go gold panning on the west coast 

At the heart of it all, we’re just two locals who care about doing great work, building a solid team, and making plumbing simple.
