Reverse osmosis (RO) is one of the most effective ways to purify your drinking water. Using a multi-stage filtration process, RO systems remove a wide range of impurities — including nitrates, fluoride, heavy metals, chlorine, dissolved salts, and other contaminants that standard filters can’t handle.
If your property is on a rural supply or bore water with high nitrate levels, or if you simply want the cleanest water possible, RO is an excellent choice. The result is pure, great-tasting water ideal for drinking, cooking, and making quality coffee and tea.

Customer Reviews
Common Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Pressure Limiting Valve?
Yes. We don’t install water filters without a pressure limiting valve because most manufacturers won’t honour the warranty if the water pressure is above 500 kPa. Most tapware manufacturers in New Zealand have similar requirements, so keeping your pressure under control protects both your filter system and your plumbing fixtures.
What type of water filtration system is best for my home?
It depends on where your water comes from. If you’re on council-supplied water, you can check their website for up-to-date water quality information, as it’s tested very regularly. If you’re on your own water supply, such as a well or bore, the best approach is to get your water tested. The lab results will show exactly what’s in your water and help us recommend the right filtration system for your home.
If you’d like help choosing a system, we can look at your water source, test results and household needs to point you in the right direction.
How often should I replace my water filter?
Water filters need to be replaced once their performance starts to drop. You might notice this through changes in taste or clarity, or you can confirm it with regular water testing. For most households, we recommend yearly maintenance to keep everything running properly. It’s an easy timeframe to remember and stops filter changes from being forgotten when life gets busy.
If you’re unsure when your filter was last replaced, we can check it and let you know what’s needed.
Do you service and repair all brands of water filtration systems?
Yes. We can service and repair almost every brand of water filtration system, and we’re able to source parts for nearly all models. If you’re unsure what brand you have, just send us a photo and we can confirm it for you.
How long does a water filter install take?
Most water filter installations take around half a day to complete. This includes setup, plumbing connections, testing and making sure everything is working as it should. We’ll give you a more accurate timeframe once we know the type of system you’re installing.
Can you replace my existing water filter?
Yes, we can replace your existing water filter. We’ll just need to know the type or brand of filter you have so we can organise the correct replacement parts. If you’re not sure, send us a photo and we can identify it for you.
Can you install a water filter yourself?
Small under-sink filters can sometimes be connected by a homeowner if the correct tees and fittings are already in place, but we don’t recommend doing this unless you’re completely confident. For whole-house filtration systems, a registered plumber must install them, as the job involves cutting into your home’s main water supply lines. A proper install ensures the system is safe, compliant and works as it should.
What is the average cost to install a water filter system?
Our pricing is available on our website, and full installation and supply typically start from $1,100 plus GST. The final cost depends on the type of filter system you choose and the requirements of your home’s plumbing. If you’d like an exact price, we can provide a quick quote once we know what system you’re looking at.
What’s the difference between under-bench, whole-house, and tap-mounted water filters?
A whole-house water filter is installed where the water enters the home, so it filters every outlet in the house, including both hot and cold taps. Under-bench and tap-mounted filters are point-of-use systems. They usually connect to the cold water line under the kitchen sink and only filter the water for that specific tap. These are ideal if you only want filtered drinking water in one spot rather than throughout the entire home.
Can you recommend the best type of filtration system for Christchurch water Quality?
A whole-house water filter with a carbon block cartridge is usually the best option for Christchurch homes. It reduces the chlorine taste and smell, which is the main thing people notice with council water, even though the supply is tested regularly and safe to drink. If you want cleaner, better-tasting water throughout the whole house, this type of system is the most effective.
